My plan was to buy the set and keep the Griffey and sell off the rest. But I wasn't willing to go that high. One of my goals over the past couple of years was to own every 90s Fleer/Ultra/Metal insert of Griffey and that one is probably the most desirable.
Get rid of packs over $5 and minor leaguers in MLB product and the hobby will improve in a few years. Oh, and getting rid of the 10 versions of each Finest card would drastically help, too.
Your standard box with a couple of SPs and bland common inserts. The only thing that sorta sticks out were 2 Target Red Variation cards of Andrew McCutchen and Todd Helton.
I got a PSA 9 card in today and noticed a ugly scratch on the back. Do scratches on the holder take away value from the card in it? I just don't like scratches, plain and simple.
I can't tell from that. The card I bought didn't show it either when scanned. I'm guessing it's a printing flaw. That's one of the things I don't like about COMC as the scans don't show the whole story. It seems about 10-20% of the cards I get end up having visible printing lines or ugly scratches.
I got one in today, and I noticed a light vertical line that goes through the card. I was wondering if that's part of the design or if I got one with printing flaws.
I've known of that card for decades and it seems to be one of the toughest 80s cards out there for the 3 people that actually want it. I also know that it's an error card and nowhere near being a 1975 RC, that's why that post was deliberately stupid. And there seems to be some dumb fad over that...
