Who doesn't own at least one Beckett Almanac or a Krause Standard Catalog?

So, does Jeter go First Ballot?
I can understand valid concerns about a player going in or not (PEDs), but the whole aspect of "well so and so wasn't unanimous or get in on first ballot yada yada yada" just doesn't hold water for me at all. Can someone please explain to me the reasoning behind anybody being a "1st ballot" HOFer or not? When did this ludicrous aspect of HOF voting even begin to be an issue? Do you thoroughly read all Ebay descriptions before purchasing?

Don't worry about it. Hell, I have 3,000+ posts and I'd wager a bet that most on this site have no idea who the hell I am anyway as most of those posts took place on the general topics board.
