I was about to make the same point because I have observed this several times myself on cards I was interested in. The ones where they only had a single copy in their inventory were marked higher than ones they had multiple copies even when the single copy card was of a lesser valued player when...
I recently busted a box of 2008 Upper Deck Series 2 and was pleased to pull a Junior National Team insert of Eric Hosmer, the best card from the 20-card insert set. Current Twins player Robbie Grossman was also on that Jr. team from 2007.
Several good posts here about loose cards with no protection. I've had my share of those with mixed results. But of all the cards that have come to me damaged, the most common cause has been due to the seller/trader's poor attempt at protection. Two examples:
1. Taking a thick jersey/patch card...
Not just Topps, I have two from Panini. The oldest one, from March 2017, is for a Byung-ho Park #/5. Now that he has gone back to South Korea and likely will never return to MLB, I suspect I will never get this card. I have seen some of his redemptions go through, many very recently, so I was...
Does anyone here happen to have an EXTRA 1999 Upper Deck #216 Will Clark Exclusives Level 1 (#/100) they would be willing to trade or sell?
This one has eluded me for years. The last one I saw on eBay was a couple years ago and I was outbid for it.
It is the only card missing from my otherwise...
The best way to sell these (although tedious) may be to offer them as singles or a "You Choose" item on ebay, especially for the sports stars.
I have a handful of these. The only ones I had luck with was a few years back when there was a pretty good market for the Tiger Woods cards found in...
I agree and will probably go this route too. I just closed out a number of items that I had listed at auction and was pretty disappointed. I had a 1999 Finest Greg Maddux Refractor sell for 0.99. It was a duplicate for me, so I am OK with that, but I have to believe that if I put that same card...
Simple. As long as there is active bidding, the auction will not end. For example, if scheduled to end at 8:00:00 and a bid comes in at 7:59:59, the auction is automatically extended to 8:30:00 (giving anyone that was outbid a chance to increase the bid). Many auction houses operate this way...
Its definitely irritating (and I do it as well from time to time, manually).
I wish eBay would go to a policy of "auction ends once there has been 5 minutes (or even 90 seconds) of no bids". It would defuse the sniping problem and in some cases lead to bidding wars that increase the sale price...
Well, I decided the pull the trigger and purchased a Brian Dozier for $14.99 dlvd for my PC. Based on what I'm seeing, I think that's a pretty good price.
Thanks! Let us know what you find.
I agree. I have long resisted buying unlicensed product, but the Optic offering from Panini (both last...
The ones which have sold on ebay (as of 8-30-2017) have gone for:
$83.00
$91.00
$120.00
$98.00
$99.99
And there is currently one available for $79.95 BIN. I would assume this is not a re-list/flip attempt since the price is lower than all previously sold ones.
Has the print run for this variation been published? And if so, where?
When these first starting appearing on eBay, several listings claimed /5. But it quickly became clear this was not true because I have seen more than 5 of these listed on ebay for the same card at the same time. They...
I have a couple cards that continue to elude me...
1. 2003 Topps Chrome Uncirculated Xfractors #T66 Mike Fetters (#/25)
I have never seen one.
It is the last remaining 2003 Topps Chrome Uncirc. Xfractor that I need for a complete Twins team set.
These were only found 1 per jumbo box of 2003...
