I'd be interested in knowing what the first true baseball card set was also, none of this mixed athlete stuff or team photo issues, just baseball players.

Yes, it was a lot of 5, all numbered to /25. Also with a lot of 6 numbered to /99. I honestly don't care if his stays up, it was just odd to see that single card left alone when I posted this (below)...

Having said that, and all things being equal (centering, ect...) I would buy the PSA 9 over the raw every time. Even at a premium.

What cards in particular? Before you posted this I too thought there would/should be a spike somewhere but after checking completed listings on eBay, I can not see any real spike in his cardstock...

Gotcha, just figured since it was a prospect stash of the same player, all auto, all limited, that the lot price might be valid (unlike a bunch of random $1 cards)
