I picked this up as part of a lot and was curious exactly what card it was - it is not numbered on the back, but has 1997 as the year on the back. Anyone have any idea?
The 1 pack I purchased of 2009 Ultimate Collection about a year ago yielded a redemption for a triple auto of Feller/Palmer/Ryan #/9. I was pretty stoked to get the card, as those triples were on-card. Unfortunately, they never produced the card, and my replacement package came in today. I...
This was quite the haul! I had been looking for the Ripken Triple Threads for a long time and was finally able to land 1 - it was pricey though! The Bender was from a Classic Cardboard auction - got it at a really good price! The Koufax speaks for itself!!
Talk about a busy mail week! Some of the autos on thees Mays autos are not the sharpest, as these are from 1996 and a couple of them do not appear to have been stored in the best way (in screw-downs screwed super tight, which caused the ink to bubble a bit), but I gotta say I am thrilled with...
I've been working on this set for about 3 years now (on and off), and I finally took the plunge on the big one! I've got most of the big cards at this point, and about 1/2 of the commons. Here are some pics!
First off, the recent pickups
And the rest of the big cards that I have picked up...
The pic didn't come out as well as I had hoped it would, but I still thought I'd share what I've been up to the past couple of months. Really pleased with the way it turned out!
For those of you interested in such stuff, I recommend checking it out as a possible new way to display/organize your cards (http://www.getpivot.com) - brought to you by the folks at Microsoft! Definitely an 'experimental' way of doing things, and requires at least a little bit of technical...
Got these for what turned out to be a great deal from Blowout - they had them on sale for $85 shipped a piece, and they ended up selling out in like 10 minutes!
Anyway, my 2 boxes yielded a redemption for a triple auto of Nolan Ryan/Jim Palmer/Bob Feller #/9 (awesome!) and this:
Certainly...
I've been toying around with this idea for a while, and thought I'd share now that I have gotten a bit further along with it. Basically, I wrote a little program that tracks the sale of a card on ebay and shows a historic price graph. Right now, I am only tracking a few cards, as this is just...
While working on the set, I noticed that Travis Snider has a bunch of autos that are identical except for the serial #. So far, I have located:
From what I can tell, they are supposed to be blue ink /50, black /25 and red /5, but it looks like he signed em all in Black ink. Has anyone...
Got these 2 in over the past week. Really love the way both of them look! They also bring me closer to the 1000 auto mark in the ever-expanding sweet spot collection!
Hey all -
I have been working on a web application to help organize and display my collection. It seems to be shaping up pretty nice so far and I was hoping to get feedback from 1 or 2 of you, as I was thinking of opening this up for public use in the future. I don't have hosting for it right...
I finally got the last on in today (Jose Canseco!) which completes my 01 set. I now have all teh base sweet spot autos from 01 - 07! Going to be taking my time on the 08's for $$ reasons, but I am sure I will get there eventually :)
Anyway, I will let the scans do the rest of the talking!
It has been a busy couple of weeks or so in terms of mail! Lots of sweet spots have been coming in, as well as some other sweet cards from a few trades. Here are the highlights!
We'll start things off with a new addition to my never ending quest to finish this set - I am at about 50/180 so...
