This is what I was looking for "relic" not even called a game used patch or jersey anymore. This leads me to believe those "patches" could be from anything or even manufactured just for the card. -

Does the back of the card say something like this: "The patch on this card is not from any specific game, event, etc" The new patches are most likely all manufactured and not worn by Griffey so who knows where or what that patch is was actually part of. -

Opinion here: The first thing that immediately jumped out is the 5/10 ink is a significantly different color than the signature. To me, instinct is that someone used a type of wipe or chemical (windex) and removed the original and wrote in a /10 hoping to up the value and dupe potential... -

Beautiful, those uncut atomics are amazing. Even rarer than the highly sought after die cut, they now add another card to the 1997 Refractor rainbow set. Can anyone confirm knowing someone who had the Griffey or proof that one made it out? -

FAKE-simile autographs
Totally not okay, he is distributing counterfeit items. Facsimile on balls is traditionally a computer or printed font not hand written with ballpoint pen - probably trying to break even for all the MLB balls he bought, forged sigs on and couldn't sell as "authentic" -

Whoever graded these also hurt the preception of these cards. Could you elaborate a bit? Is this because the slab says "error pattern" on the recent listings? I suppose that if collectors know this set they would know these were the tests. I agree your slab makes it look much better non graded... -
