I'm hoping someone on here can give me a lead on this. I'm creating a baseball card themed office and am trying to find an artist who can create some oversized images of existing baseball cards. Can anyone recommend an artist or high quality printer who can create something like this?
Thanks,
Ron
I always enjoy checking this thread. That Lopes card is pretty neat.
Looks like the 2023 Finest Steve Garvey 1/1 is up on eBay now. The price seems pretty ridiculous though. The "buy it now" has got to be at least $1,000 higher than what it should be, I'm guessing.
I really enjoyed looking through your collection. I've thought about doing something similar but wouldn't know where to begin. Seeing all these cards posted next to one another by year, it's amazing that anyone ever purchased anything other than Upper Deck cards in those early years of the...
I spoke with Steve for about twenty minutes back in January, 2012. Among many topics, one of the things we talked about was the 1982 Fleer card. He didn't mention any copies that he had previously signed, but did confirm that he doesn't sign that one. I indicated to him that if he ever...
I'm working my way through this entire thread (currently on page 582). It's like a walk through a 1990s baseball card museum! Is there a way to access parts 1 and 2? There are links in the very first post, but they are not working for me.
Thanks,
Ron
Garvey would be the guy who would get my vote. Super clutch when moments were biggest. In addition to 1978 and 1984, he also would've won the NLCS MVP in 1974 had the award been in place then. Garvey is the NL Ironman. Also very cool that a team's spring training bat boy would ultimately end...
As usual, the haters never want to give our President any credit, only to find out later that maybe his statements were based on facts. At the time of the tweet posted in 2012, Verlander had a postseason ERA of about 5.50. I would say that President Trump's statement was accurate at the time...
Thanks, dano7! Funny that I would get the parallel card first. I've yet to find the base card, #d to 25. I'm guessing it will be a piece of the hat instead of one of the holes. With the exception of the other Satchel Paige card, the handful I'm still looking for are all #d to 10 or less...
