Hello all, I'm putting out a call to find the Joe (Joey) Wendle printing plates that I don't have. Mostly just looking to buy.
Wendle was in the following sets:
- 2013 Heritage Minors, with auto and non-auto plates
- 2014 Bowman, Bowman Chrome, Bowman Chrome series 2, and Bowman Chrome mini
-...
Here is an auction for one with a non-scanned pic that I found where you can see the refractor like foil in action.

(NOT MY AUCTION)
I owned the following card, but different serial number:
(Just using the photo from COMC for ease)

I sold it this past year on eBay. And I can tell you that the gold foil on the front has a refractor like sheen...
I have 2 of 4 of the plates of one 2015 Bowman Chrome Auto card and I can tell you that it's very clear they were used in the process. Edge scratches, back of plate scratches, fingerprints that are stuck on the card... like it's the print workers' layer of skin!
Interesting. I opened tons of both wax and cello packs of these many years ago and never thought to look. Will have to remember that in the future. Thanks!
Ha! I found I have an orange version of one of these last month in my stack of oddball pack advertisements I had stuffed away many years ago.
The crazy thing is I think I remember seeing these in dollar boxes years ago. Yep...
Found these two on Dave & Adams with a quick search just now:

If I had the money, I would find an unopened box of 1996 Leaf Signature, or 1997 or 1998 Donruss Signature. 12 packs per box, each pack has an auto. I did pretty well with these back then. There were a couple redemptions, but I never pulled one in the numerous packs I opened. The best two cards...
Thanks for the heads up AUTaxMan! I just picked up the 1997 Pinnacle Certified Mirror Gold Chipper Jones that has always been out of my price range for me. I can tell it has a print line in the scan but at that price I couldn't pass it up.
1997 Pinnacle Certified Mirror Gold #59 - Chipper Jones...
Same with me. My 1998 Leaf R&S set (baseball) with all SP's and RC's is untouchable, this time. I had previously sold a partial set back around 2002 to make some extra cash. Many years later when I started working full time, I started the set again, and this time I finished it. It took a while...
A Bo Jackson base card might has well been an insert card back in the late 80's in my school. We didn't know any better. All-star cards also traded among my friends quite frequently.
When the Topps Gold and Gold Winners came along in 1992 we traded those back and forth a bunch.
I thought about a price list, but that's too much to keep up with over the years for the amount of cards.
For the more valuable complete sets in 3-ring binders/pages, I've included written notes that explain the rarity of the set and any other pertinent info. The other cheaper, easy sets, I've...
Thanks for the info on this card. I never knew there was a 2001 Bowman Heritage Promo Pujols card. I've had the regular issue 2001 Bowman Heritage Pujols RC for years and never knew about this other one.
Oh, I'm just sticking to the 2009 Bowman paper blue and orange parallel versions. The Chrome blue or orange refractor sets for that year, with all of the autos (including the Mike Trout auto), is just impossible at this point without being a millionaire. :p
I guess I'm in middle. I will do prospecting with specific players, and player collecting on a couple specific stars, but I do try to put together some hard sets as a long term thing.
Here are a couple samples of hard sets I've done or are ongoing:
