    Why do collectors shun printing plates?

    I have 2 of 4 of the plates of one 2015 Bowman Chrome Auto card and I can tell you that it's very clear they were used in the process. Edge scratches, back of plate scratches, fingerprints that are stuck on the card... like it's the print workers' layer of skin!

    Which insert set was popular during your childhood?

    A Bo Jackson base card might has well been an insert card back in the late 80's in my school. We didn't know any better. All-star cards also traded among my friends quite frequently. When the Topps Gold and Gold Winners came along in 1992 we traded those back and forth a bunch.

    Who here has NEVER made a set?

    Oh, I'm just sticking to the 2009 Bowman paper blue and orange parallel versions. The Chrome blue or orange refractor sets for that year, with all of the autos (including the Mike Trout auto), is just impossible at this point without being a millionaire. :p
