2 of my Descalso white whales acquired in a week!

Great finds - if you get a chance can you show the rainbow off?

'52 Mantle PSA graded up. But Ummm?

I was watching that as well (just to see how it does). I would rather pony up the extra cash (if I had it) and get even an altered example. As for whether or not they'll see any kind of a return I'm not sure, but it will be interesting to see where it finishes up.

Oh Super Sweet 90's Inserts.... #3

Two pickups (Ortiz and Bonds) I took about a year off from collecting and reorganizing my collections and have just started getting back into it. Grabbed the Ortiz the minute I saw the listing. As for the Bonds (1993 Donruss Masters of the Game), I have been looking for an original Dick Perez...

Question about the gold parallels from 2005 Topps

Do all cards from the 2005 Topps set have a gold parallel. I understand the 2004 set does not include the league leaders cards (#332-367) per baseballcardpedia, and was wondering if any cards from the 2005 set were not given a gold parallel as well. Baseballcardpedia doesn't mention any cards...

Proofs from certain sets IMO are worth buying and that would be one of them. Nice pickup!

Top Modern Baseball Cards You Need To Own

I remember getting that card with the Nike poster from a friend in 7th grade for my birthday LOL. It was a bad *ss card - and still is. I don't have the poster anymore, but that card still sits in one of my binders.

Top Modern Baseball Cards You Need To Own

"Any" is kind of a strong word. I get what your saying, but I think what some of us were trying to say is needs to own from an investment standpoint. Outside of that their are many great cards on the cheap that everyone should own just because...

Gorgeous pickups. Love the '97 Atomic Gold - one of my favorite parallel sets.

Oh Super Sweet 90's Inserts.... #3

Just picked this up not to long ago. I've always wanted this card ever since I was a kid clamoring over my Beckett magazines. What is really cool about this card, and I've yet to see another one like it, is that Mantle signed it vertically like Yastrzemski's autograph. Typically Mickey was...

Top Modern Baseball Cards You Need To Own

While on the 'relatively' expensive side, here are some modern cards that I think everyone should own from an investment and collecting standpoint. Most of these were cards that as a kid 'I had to own' but couldn't ever find or afford...until eBay came along and I started having money in my...

    Rarest cards from the 80s

Great thread!!! Also, Great Ripken cards too!!! I think as more and more collectors from this era jump back into the hobby these cards will become increasingly harder to afford. The gems of the 80's and, in general from the junk wax era, will standout from the massive overproduction of that...

    I give up on A&G

Absolutely nothing...as long as I didn't pull one from a box of A&G.

    I give up on A&G

To each their own. That said, I would be pissed to drop money for what likely amounts to a carny...no offense to anyone in that niche of the entertainment industry. In all seriousness A&G has been doing all sorts of weird stuff, some of which is pretty cool.
