    Griffey Collector's Thread

Hello all, The time has come, and I plan on listing my Mantle/Griffey auto in the near future. If anyone is interested, I'm open to negotiations to avoid eBay fees. The card is authenticated (PSA) and will come with the original COA.

Random request. If anyone is willing to sell their '94 Upper Deck's graded 10 (PSA or Beckett), please let me know. Will consider 9/9.5's and (authenticated) auto's.

I thought the same thing, but then I considered how many ugly Griffey's that I've seen authenticated :) --- also, I have seen numerous warnings over the years to always question a Mantle auto. Needless to say, I've been a bit reluctant to submit it.

Beautiful Griffey's, as usual. Also +1 on the 89 Bowman Sr. card. I collect it as if it were a Jr. Anyone have a backstory on this Griffey/Mantle Topps card?

Well, seller protection is all BS from what I've learned. Even the guys local police department refused to take a police report. Deal with people you "know" when selling, would be my best advice. There was no indication the person was even a scammer. He simply abused the system.

Since I see a few sellers on eBay, beware, I was just hit with a scam. I won't disclose the method used. But, I sold a card in the mid xxx's and Pay Pal just sent me an email that it's been disputed. I had insurance, tracking, and signature confirmation. The invoice clearly shows this, but, it...

Anyone out there interested in the 1998 Triumvirate set. Feel free to PM me, I have plenty of feedback on ebay.

Absolutely. I was unaware this was actually a recurring issue with them.I was impartial to their cases and read that they can be more strict on grades. Their CS is ridiculously bad and I'll be giving PSA my business from now on.

If anyone were interested, Beckett refused to grade the card without "JSA" authenticating it (PSA is apparently not reputable). This also in spite of discussing it before shipping it to them and getting the OK to send it as is. So, $40 wasted and a bitter taste in my mouth dealing with BGS...

    Griffey Collector's Thread

Hey guys, Curious if anyone is aware of public autograph signings Griffey may be doing during the HOF weekend? Or if he typically does them at all?

Are you referring to Upper Deck not being able to authenticate them anymore? (::facepalm:: Who was in charge of IT, there?) If so, yes, I 100% agree with your statement. The curiosity as to what it would be graded by condition is what grabs my attention. I look at the pop report and only see...

    It's just authenticated, unfortunately.

Thank you. That leads to a roadblock that I didn't consider until I saw the $85 invoice. Will Beckett accept a card that's in a PSA slab? Or am I expected to extract the card on my own?

Hey guys. It's no Crusade, but I'm happy to add this one to the thread. Curious if anybody familiar with grading thinks this is worth re-grading with Beckett? I'm far from a grading expert, but I'm thinking it's close to a 10. Any opinions? (Hold down Control and either Scroll Up, or press the...
