Finally Added to my Canizaro Collection

I haven't been around much in the last couple of years, but I wanted to stop by and share the newest addition to my Jay Canizaro collection. I hadn't logged on to Ebay in over a month, but last week I had a strange desire to do so. And I'm lucky that I did, I happened to stumble upon a game...

Guess Beckett Grading Services Has Resorted to Making Cold Calls

Got an odd call this morning, from Beckett Grading Services offering a deal. Funny thing is that I have never graded a card, and haven't really thought about submiting something other than pre-war vintage. When I let the rep know I had no desire to grade cards at this time they hung up. Anyone...

1990 Donruss Red / Red card?

A seller, one of the recent winners of the unopened Aqueous packs, has listed two cards that resemble the blue / white test cards but these cards are Red/Red. He claims to have pulled them from the unopened packs. Anyone ever hear of these...

    Matt Cain near perfect game

Cain gave up just one hit in the 6th inning, to the opposing pitcher, and didn't walk a batter. Good to see him rebound from his bad outing against the Diamondbacks.

    My Newest Vintage Pick-up

I just pick this little card up, and I do mean little the card measures maybe 1.5 X 3 inches. A 1916 M101-4, I think. Larry Doyle of the Giants is pictured on the card. I personally love beat up vintage cards, especially if the card is almost 100 years old. The great thing about this card is the...

Some Harsh Criticism For Nyjer Morgan

Seems the media is tired of his act too, and at least this writer thinks Morgan motivated Pujols to have a career night. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=j ... e_2_101111

Belt back up with the Giants

Got a chance to see Belt play here in Fresno last night, Grizzlies beat Albuquerque 15 to 10, Edgar Gonzalez, Adrian Gonzalez' brother, went deep twice and Belt hit a three run shot. Hopefully Belt can add some power to the terrible Giants offense. Fun game we sat two rows up by the Grizzlies...

I know it's a long shot, anyone on here win this auction?

1992 Oklahoma State Team Issued Set [ebay:3by7kn9v]180704960834[/ebay:3by7kn9v] Looks like I lost out on the Oklahoma State team set, my bid in the last minute didn't go through for some reason. I'm a huge Jay Canizaro collector, I own about 7 game used jerseys of his, about 15 game used bats...

Chances of Vogelsong winning the Cy Young?

I figure it's a very long shot, but he does lead the league in ERA and a top 20 WHIP, might end the year around 15 wins. I know Keshaw or Halladay are better options but with Vogelsong's story and his numbers being boarderline is there a chance the voters might vote for him?

    Question about E145 Cracker Jacks

I know that they were produced in both 1914 and 1915 and that the back on the 1915's were upside down, but are there variations on the back of the 1914's? I notice on the back of this Doyle that it shows "Our first issue '10,000,000' pictures", but on other players cards I've seen that number...

    Another Magic Mail-Day

So by random luck I was the lucky winner of an Applebees sponsored Magicpapa event where I won this fantastic 1/1 cut auto: Anyone have any idea on the value? Beckett doesn't have it listed but that's nothing new for Beckett. Just wanted to thank all involved in the contest, this is...

Question about getting tickets for Wrigley Field

My wife and I have an opportunity to go to Chicago in late June and as luck would have it the Giants will be in Chicago at the same time.
