Merry Christmas guys. I hope all of you have a great day today and are able to spend it with your families. It has been a struggle this year for me to get into the Christmas spirit. I guess part of it is because we start working with Christmas crap at Lowes around August and our holiday...
Eggnog.....never been a fan of that stuff. I'll just stick to pure grain alcohol. As far as Lindor goes, I dont think the Yankees will end up with him. I mean, I really like Lindor and would love to have him but with Gleyber going back to his natural position at SS(or so they have reported), I...
Not much. Just working the holiday flow......and it sucks. I'm also watching the clusterf##k that is Prizm basketball retail buying down here. People are buying it up like its crack around here.
I can look back and say that this decade has really flown by. Its hard to believe that we've seen some of the most iconic modern day cards make their presence.
I've been in and out. I didn't see a Night Crew thread so I figured you guys were on vacation and taking a break. Hope everyone has been well. Its been busy here for me lately. Trying to get a house built for my parents, taking care of the in laws(that ain't easy) and some new schedules at work...
Oh well its supposed to cool down by Christmas. At any rate, atleast the girls are still wearing their summertime showoff attire. That kinda makes up for it.
I mean, I'm probably complaining too much, but I enjoy seasons. I remember as a kid having seasons. Now it seems with the el Nino and la nina the seasons are merged and there isn't a real difference. I think we got 1/2" of snow here last year a couple of times. It just didn't seem really cold...
It gets worse and worse here every year. Summer starts in April. Its hot as balls by May. The humidity is off the charts. Mosquitos as big as buzzards. No real winter to speak of. And the damned tropical storms and hurricanes. I'm moving to Alaska.
Thats my favorite player of all time. I don't collect him much anymore because there's so much out there. Funny fact....I don't own one autographed card of Mattingly. I have had a few but haven't really found the one that sticks in my PC. I have a couple of baseballs and a photo signed by...
If it weren't for baseball, I would just skip the summer altogether. I know I've changed clothes three times tonight and still feel like I have swamp ass. All the summer lovers can hug a nut. This blows.
When I was in Greensboro, I had Cards at the Cages. When I moved to Louisiana I had Penny's and another shop I can't remember the name of. When I moved back to North Carolina, I had Paper Heroes, The Batter's Box, B&W, The Card Shop and a couple others. Now.....only two locally within an hour...
In today's age of swipes, clicks, and taps on smart screens, collectors can navigate through the world wide web like a knife thru hot butter to find their hobby needs. It's easy, fast, and you don't even have to leave your parents basement to do it. But for some of the older, die hards like...
I've talked to several people who have pulled autos from Opening Day but the retail shiit is much tougher. And I was shocked at the high caliber of player in Acuna....I was just hoping for a base card of him or Soto.
It just annoys me when breakers are constantly putting a twist on a players name when they pull their cards. Enough already. Just call the player by their real name. Its not hard.
It is weird watching baseball this early in the year. I didn't realize the M's and A's were playing a season...
