Maybe it was a promotional display in 1997 for the charity set? The price is silly. The signatures look almost preprinted. I don't know much about this poster, but woudn't be interested unless they knocked off another 90%
I miss that site being up as I would look at it periodically for reference. I'd be more than happy to pay the fees to keep it running, but I don't think that is an option....
Just got my cards back from my first ever PSA submission. Been hoarding 1987 Auburn and USA Blue cards of Frank, as well as a handfull of rookie autos. I thought I would have got at least 1 10 for the USA Blue.....Was very happy though to get 1 PSA 10 Auburn card of Thomas and of Bo Jackson!
Always a classic! If you are looking for the BGS 10 version of it, I wouldn't wait too long. It is very possible that the value will get a big bump in Jan next year if Frank becomes a first ballot HOFer. Even if he doesn't get in on the first try, his cards will still jump a bit from getting...
Oh man, that was not what I was proposing! I figured that was un-obtainable. I'll throw out there, the 1990 leaf 2012 auto, the Thomas "T" letter patch, and $200...... I completely understand that it is unobtainable, as I have a few Thomas cards I feel the same way about.
I don't usually get into the new releases, but I love the Leaf stuff this year! Managed to find two of the 1990 Leaf autos that are actually centered, and one with his jersey serial number!
I saw this auction too, but have never heard of this. I'd guess that it is just sheets that have surfaced from the original production run testing out the colors, and someone cut the important players out of the sheet. Seems like printer proof trash to me. It is probably incredibly rare, but...
I love the batting glove that you have!! I'd be willing to trade the extra bat card if you are interested in coming one card closer to completing the set
Picked up all 6 of these 1997 Thomas Leaf GU cards in the last couple months. Still looking for one more to complete the collection. This was game used when it really meant something!
