I have a ton of old Baseball Cards magazines that have the card panels inserted. I want to cut them into individual cards and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to use.
I was thinking maybe using a guillotine paper cutter but I was thinking this might round off the edges. If...
I'm going to Twinsfest this year and was wondering what to expect? I heard there is a card show there but haven't seen a dealers list or how many tables there are. Does anyone know if it's a good show?
I gave PSA 1 card at a show to have graded and they charged me $17 to grade and $8 to have shipped back. Now a week later I get an email saying that it will cost another $10 to ship. They say they miscalculated at the show. Is it just me or does $18 to ship one card seem like a lot?
Does anyone know how the fees for when PSA grades cards at a show? I assume that anything under $500 would be at the $17 per card rate. Do they offer any kind of bulk discount? I looked on their website and I don't show any area that mentions grading at a show.
Thanks
It's been a long time when I bought cards like I did back in the 80's. Back then it was pretty common to find cards that were forgotten in an attic and were unpicked. Here's a video I made on a few cards I found a couple of months ago.
Just thought I would give everyone a heads up on this. If they reach 6,000 followers on twitter ESPN Mint Condition will give away this card. They are less than 300 away. If you're on Twitter here is the link to their profile https://twitter.com/ESPNMintCondit
I know a lot of collectors like single signed baseballs but I've always liked the look of a team signed ball. I think they are a great deal compared to a lot of other memorabilia. It's also pretty crazy to think that you can buy one or sometimes a few for less than the cost of one pack of cards...
I know card shows are pretty much a thing of the past for a lot of locations and was wondering how long those of you that no longer have shows in your town how long have you been without? Our town is going on about 3 years since we've had one. We do have flea markets in the fall and winter but...
I've always loved oddball and food issues since I was a kid and I pick them up when I can. Here is a cool 12 card set from 1979 featuring Milwaukee Brewers, Bucks and Green Bay Packers players. It was sponsored by Open Pantry, Lake to Lake & MACC (Milwaukee Athletes Against Childhood Cancer).
I'm working on a project and need to do some research. I'm looking for back issues of Baseball Hobby News & Sports Collectors Digest from the early to late 1980's. I prefer to buy them in lots instead of single issues if possible. Thanks
