Could use some opinions on this
When I buy bulk common autos and GU, I usually pay $0.40-0.75 apiece. That's pretty much what the majority of bulk buyers will pay. -
Anyone have some insight on this Griffey Rookie?
Never seen one like it. Anyone have a clue as to how this even happened? It was pulled from a pack years ago exactly as you see it. I slabbed it to show that it hasn't been tampered with. Surface has the same gloss across the entire card. Very strange. -

All of that info is in the Gehrig thread on BO. Also has a mod and others that were in the break that recall the card being pulled. Still doesn't clarify where Topps got the swatch which could prove to be a rather daunting task. -

There is a current thread about the Gehrig. Several people that were in the break, when it was pulled, remember the card. Unfortunately the original thread from the break no longer has pics due to how old it is. -

Basically the only way this card is fake is if Topps used a fake swatch. That is 100% the only way it would not be real. -

Can I go back and touch on the Lou Gehrig Triple Threads Tag Patch. I own the card. I saw it pulled in a break on BO. I bought it from the original owner who owned it since it was pulled and has never listed it on ebay. It is 100% unaltered. The #3 /3 has the rest of his last name on the patch... -

Ebay Question for the Community. Never had this happen before.
Basically it sounds like a scam but won't affect you. He wants to let ebay handle it because he will get refunded. You have seller protection and won't have to give a refund since you used delivery confirmation. He gets card and money. You get money. Everyone is happy. -
