Oh Super Sweet 90's Inserts.... #3

Well, this was unexpected, by a LOT So, being a Fryman collector, I still scour for 1/1's and weird items, but have completed my collecting goals otherwise. But I will put an eyeball on rarer items to see what they fetch nowadays. I realize the market is different and certain things have gone...

Misjudging the Market - Alan Trammell

Holy shit! So, I have that card - pretty sure I have the jersey numbered version to boot. Like, I would never part with it, but honestly - what is it now, like a grand?!? *BONKERS* I also have the other year of those, with the black border auto/25.

    New Alan Trammell collection website

Also - is your wantlist completely listed? I noticed a few cards in my collection from oddball/team sets that I have of Trammell that I didn't see listed or posted in your inventory. I didn't know how thorough you were searching for 90's issues or earlier. Greg

    New Alan Trammell collection website

Awesome!! I look forward to scanning over your site to see all of these wonderful cards I'm going to be drooling over! Trammell was my favorite player as I first learned about baseball growing up. :) Then Travis Fryman became my all-time favorite as he took over for Alan in the early 90's...

1980s/1990's Leaf/Donruss Proofs and Test issues

Thank you for the responses - especially mrmopar for noting the stat differences. I had not dug out my cards to even look at that! Great info - that's why I ask. :)

1980s/1990's Leaf/Donruss Proofs and Test issues

The only guy I collect, Travis Fryman - had an oddball item come up in searches recently I had not seen before. Noticed the seller had other players as well...

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE 90'S CARD IN YOUR PC

I own so many copies of this card. I've probably (not purposefully) prevented some people from finishing this set.... 97 Bowman Chrome International Refractor

    Al Kaline RIP

Little late to post, but RIP Mr. Tiger!! Got the second one from a really great guy, Sean W! Hope you are well. Such a kind gift many years ago.

I grabbed this a few weeks ago - one of those executive type proofs/samples - whatever they are called.

1998 Donruss Signature Gold Preview! Help any information and backstory

Same with me. I picked up the other 3 for the price this alone would cost me. No thanks. I talked with the seller on the phone last year and the prices he wants for this and other Select prototypes/proofs are way beyond my reach, so he can just keep 'em! I know what the market is for my...

Exit Interview: I'm Retiring from Collecting Canseco and Selling Out

Good on you Tanner for seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! I very heavily collected a football player for over 15 years and decided to sell off my collection last year. Best decision I made! I didn't get the return on my bucks that I had put in, but I knew that would happen and I was...

Oh Super Sweet 90's Inserts.... #3

Was able to acquire these 3 Fryman's from the 1998 Donruss Signature Series set that never was.

    Hi People...

Randy! Awesome to see you back in action. Cheers from your fellow Ohio neighbor. Greg

When do you get outta the hobby?

I dumped the majority of my football collection late last year and couldn't be happier for it. Like you said, there was too much coming out every other week to keep up. What's more absurd is that the guys I collect are retired! Yet they still were getting a bajillion cards made. And not...

Oh Super Sweet 90's Inserts.... #3

Regarding some of the 98 Pinnacle auctions... if these 2 bidders were so interested in these cards they are driving the prices up on, why haven't they scooped up the available and much lower priced cards from the same sets that another individual seller has for sale? Just my thoughts.

Can it be? Finally have reached 100%

So, quick checklist scan - 13 cards /10 or less, most of those are actually trade show cards and not pack issued, so really only 3. And they were the last cards I found of him too - the bowman refractor /5 and a triple crown HR parallel /3. Only 44 cards from 03-05 (he had retired in '02) - a...

That is fabulous to hear, thank you both!!

Can it be? Finally have reached 100%

Thank you all!! To answer a couple of questions asked: Right now, I have 910/994 cards that I have checklisted. That includes 14 1/1's. So, excluding all of the show stamped stuffed or random proofs/bankruptcy items, weird things - I'm at roughly 896/896 for completion. I grew up a Tigers...

Can it be? Finally have reached 100%

After umpteen years of collecting - I have finally tracked down the last pack issued non 1/1 for my Travis Fryman collection. I wasn't sure I would ever get to this point, but lo and behold, I have. I'm still trying to track down other items - such as the 1998 Pinnacle Certified non-released...

Oh Super Sweet 90's Inserts.... #3

Crap - I hope not. :( I'll get a better scan of it once I get it in. You guys can tell me, as I don't have a good point of reference since I've never come across a copy before. Guess it will be a $15 placeholder if it isn't legit. Greg
