I don't think Topps did these. I was a Total junkie back in the day and don't recall ever seeing them this way.
Someone may have done this aftermarket (Excel, Fairfield or ANCO maybe) but I don't think Topps released them that way.
Brent had 99 in 45 cases.
I think he had some auto relics and multiple sigs, but only a handful - basically 2 per box - anything more than that is a bonus from what I see.
I cracked one and am sitting not he other - haven't had time and haven't decided course of action yet.
That was my thought - with Auerelio Rodriguez, many didn't know the difference. Doing it with a marquee player makes it less desirable in my mind.
Looks like $150-200 these days.
The second round!
Box 7 - Beltre Base Auto

Already better cards than the best 4 on my 600 HR break.
The other 6 will have to wait a bit!
In the spring I picked up a few hangar boxes of Heritage at Target - they had a coupon for a free pack of Flagship Series 1 - In one of those I pulled a Benintendi 30th Anniversary Auto.
Yesterday we did a Target run, I stopped by the card section and they had some TC value packs (blissfully...
I share your feelings about AT&T - it's amazing how bad the ballparks are in The LA area. Petco is better but the Padres are beyond awful (although they are still a few game set up on the Giants).
He also attends a bunch of NBA games with his Marlins short. In the old days (2014 - when the Giants were still a mlb team), he was at a bunch of games in SF and KC. I remember stories then that stated he bought all of his tickets.
Now that we are seeing some sets with both an auto and a parallel explains the excess of duds. It doesn't explain why no multiple buyer has seen such a set yet.
If they look clean enough I reuse them - I'm in California - we recycle everything!
I'll reuse any thing that is still clean. Packing tape renders top loaders unusable, but much of it is clean - why not?
High value stuff gets new clean supplies - but that is usually the way I stop it, not...
Topps has never confirmed the checklist - it is not unusual for them to issue a skip numbered set in the mega boxes.
We assume it is 100 cards because no one has ever seen the others and the fact that we are at a round number of 100 seems reasonable.
