    2015 National Treasures Hits

Classy cards with good signers done by a company that is, at the very least, adding some competition into the market...but no logo. ****ty cards with bleeding/smeared autographs...but logos. To me, this is an easy choice. Jmo.

Which '90s products would you like to see return?

Came here to say Topps Total as well.

    1998 SPx Finite Baseball

I don't think Griffey was a bad dude, but I do think that he had a big ego and if he would have learned his way around a gym might have had a much better career. And I agree that he is a lot less fan friendly than he is given credit for.

This is ashame how the mighty have fallen.....No words..I didn't think these would go that low

I would not call him a journeyman man...I think he was still pretty well entrenched in the prospect status when he died.

    Newly discovered 2014 Heritage Variation?

If I had 27 cats--and I have three inside now-- I would literally blow my brains out.

Well, this is an interesting take on attempting to sell a fake patch.

at some point it just might be easier to just say screw it and start collecting fake patch cards. I mean, they generally always look good...

    Burbank Pricing

I don't understand how a business who both overcharges and had poor customer support manages to do so well. Ah, I guess if you have cards that people want, a lot can be overlooked.

    1996 Topps baseball...was that a turning point?

    1996 Topps baseball...was that a turning point?

I am writing a little something about the 1996 Topps Mantle reprints...but since I was so young when this set came out I was hoping to get your thoughts. The Mantle reprints were a big deal to me...but were they a big deal to collectors at large? I mean, were people really hunting them down...

    Who is undervalued?

I would go with Miguel Cabrera and Joey Votto.

Could you clear coat memorabilia to preserve the autograph (bats, helmets, etc.)

I totally understand why you would think that, but once you try it you don't even notice it. Its awesome. Its not like a hard lacquer or anything. I was really leery of it at first too.

Could you clear coat memorabilia to preserve the autograph (bats, helmets, etc.)

Oh...yea...I assumed this was just for baseballs. For cards...just keeping them out of the light is really the most important thing. And also making sure you are using quality storage products--Ultra-pro. Dont want cheap, oily plastics. Sometimes you just get unlucky, but if you do the above...

Could you clear coat memorabilia to preserve the autograph (bats, helmets, etc.)

So this is just my two cents. I am 100% confidant in Krylon lacquer. The non-matte formula (you want the clear stuff) There was a time when lacquering a ball would yellow, but I actually emailed the Krylon people and had a nice talk with a lady who explained that the newer formula does not do...

Panini National Treasures Autographs: Am I the only one bothered by them?

I think it's more than a couple, and that kind of autos don't come from anything that a player does...this is the kind of bubbling you get when you don't prep a card. Here is another. The smearing in the "Doc" might have been from the player stacking, but the messed up "Halladay" is from the...

Panini National Treasures Autographs: Am I the only one bothered by them?

True. I think it just might be the cardstock that they used, and did not think to prep it...kind of like you have to do with Topps cards that you are going to get signed that are not Ginter/Heritage.

Panini National Treasures Autographs: Am I the only one bothered by them?

Two that jumped out: Abreu Abreu There are more that are more subtle (with just a little bubbling someplace in the auto) that I understand most people would be OK with...my OCD would kick in, though.

Panini National Treasures Autographs: Am I the only one bothered by them?

I would like to preface this that despite anything I say here, I support Panini and think they put out one hell of set this season. Like to think this is an issue they can fix in the future. The autographs in this set...for all the money, time and effort they must have put into designing this...
