Not sure who got a Chong PSA 6 for $929...but great deal! My PSA 6 Chong sold for @ $1725 w/ juice at the Love of the Game Auction that ended on 1/30/16. $2,500 w/ an OBO is a reasonable starting place on eBay if the seller is willing to negotiate down to the $1,500 to $1,750 range. Perhaps...

Who else noticed that we're on page 277 of the Henderson thread and immediately thought of his 1988 Donruss?? You know you're a Henderson fanatic when you think like I did.... In honor of page 277 here's a 1988 Donruss paper proof of the Man of Steal:

It brought in a lot, but I'm not one to disclose $$ on forums, assuming the buyer wants that information to be kept private. That said, there is a work-around to view BO realized prices. Open up the listing and change the www.ebay.com in the url to item.ebay.ca and you will find your answer...

I agree with you guys completely. Unfortunately, that's his niche. He's a "Hof rookie autograph" collector. I thought I had it bad since I collect HOF rookies and Henderson cards...the Chong is pretty much the holy grail for me...that is, of course, unless the owner of the '76 CA North-South...

100% original. I sold that card to him (pre-autograph) in a BVG 4.5 holder (due to horrible top/bottom centering). Net54 is where I live for talking cards (and selling/trading). No one here wanted my extra Chong when I offered it to you guys first, so I was happy to make a deal on that site...

I'd be interested in the ones above. I'm sad to see a Henderson collecting legend leave the game...but I'll happily pick up any scraps. Electronic copies of the lists would be preferable, but I'm happy with anything. Best of luck with the sales!

    (1) 1982 Topps Blackless (2) 1980 Topps (3) 1977 Chong (4) 1984 Mel Ramos Pro-Arts (still on my want list) (5) 1993 Finest Refractor i had to extend it to a top 5 list to make this a real challenge! Top three were "no-brainers" to me. Many would argue that his '82 Topps is one of the most...

Anybody else have one of these? Not sure if I've seen it checklisted before. '86 Leaf Blank-Back: I need to go through my stuff soon. I have all sorts of Henderson goodies! By the way, this is the first time I've ever noticed that he's sporting a man-purse on his shoulder. Not sure why...

They have the same thickness and feel of other box bottom panels...in other words, very thick cardboard stock. The backs are complete as well.

where did all the warm-fuzzy feelings of this thread go? Money/cards are simply not worth the angst! Anyway, I picked these up a few weeks ago. I thought they were kinda cool. Ironically, I don't even have the base "1988 Fleer Superstars Box Panel", but I just picked up these three "proofs"...

Now that's what I'm talking about!! Much more activity going on in this thread! While I didn't pick up the most recent '77 Chong PSA 7, I do now own two - one in an SGC 86 holder and another in a BVG 4.5 (although I think PSA would give the latter a grade of 6 and/or an 8 OC). If any of you...

It's a new week, so I figured I'd share another sweet Henderson item you guys most likely haven't ever seen. I picked this up back in 2011. It might be the earliest autograph of the "Man of Steal", signed back in 1977 while with the Modesto A's. It looks like the scorecard was only updated...

Got it several years ago from one of the big AH's. Apparently, Parker Brothers didn't have the MLB license at the time the sheets were printed (despite showing the MLB symbol). Only a handful exist, to my knowledge, although I've never seen another (of any player, for that matter) other than...
