It never ceases to amaze me. People will spend more on players yet to see Major League action or for 29 year-old 25-game breakout players than on good young players who consistently produce. Same set, Blue Refractor Johnny Cueto RC, WITH a Cueto rookie auto, unsold at $9.99/$3.25 SH

Cueto had a 07 Chrome. Those still sell fairly well. I remember Cueto's base chrome going for about $10 each at the beginning of the '08 season.

I definitely agree. It's just crazy that a guy like Cueto, who you could argue is having a top two or three pitching season in the N.L. so far, undersells 29 year-old, 25 game, one season wonders. lol It's a strange hobby.

Cubs fans are crazy, and have nothing to spend their money on hitter-wise other than Starlin Castro. It's obviously stupid to drop $25 on that card, but this is just one of hundreds of irrational hot streaks that cards have and that enable people to make a little money at a hobby where most times you lose 50% or more of value when you open a product.
