Might be another Closer out of a Job, this time in KC.
Holland almost blew a 5 run lead in the 9th. Herrera came in and got last two outs, but also gave up 2 hits and a Wild pitch. After a long AB, Kreitz K'd to end it with the winning run at Second.
Really looking forward to Weaver @ Darvish tonite too...

Add Matt Cain to the pulverized Aces list. A 9 ER inning, Yikes! That one inning probably cost him any shot at the ERA title.
And Colorado's staff ERA so far is 3.15. IF they keep that up, or anywhere close to it, and that's a BIG if, they'll win the Division by 10 Games...

Which is funny because on paper pre-season they had the WORST staff in baseball. Or at least one of them...
I don't see Cain ever winning an ERA title...not with Kershaw/Strasburg in the NL.

Our ace Jhoulys Chacin did not get pulverized. We have a good bullpen, but can the staff be passable?
Put it this way: Whenever the Rockies score 7, Taco Bell tacos are 4 for a buck the next day. I expect that deal to get a lot of mileage this year. But can we keep teams to 6 or fewer?

It's just surprising because he has never really been much of a home run hitter. I've always been a fan of his and knew he had the raw tools to succeed but this looks like the year he's finally putting it all together!
