Do you notice the tone of the team with Lawrie on the DL? None of that hissy fit stuff that comes from him. Even Batista is getting borderline calls that were called strikes earlier this year.

Good morning.. Just got my coffee and sat down in the baseball card room. (should be office)
The neighbors have some kids up here for a month or so, and last night when I was over there, one of the kids sister made some comment about baseball cards..
She said her brother collected baseball cards and had a bunch.. So of course I said "Really!!'.. He said yes, I have quite a few.. So I tell him to come with me.. and his sister says I bet he has more cards then you do.. (little did she know!)..
We walk down the hall and I say, here you go and he was floored!!.. He says.. WOW!.. and then we spent the next 30 minutes talking about cards..
I gave him my e-mail address and then we go back next door.. He walks in and his sister asked about my cards and he said he was no where near my volume..
Then I reminded her that I had a 25 year jump on him..
I was glad to see a kid from AZ excited about cards!!..
Oh, back to sitting down this morning.. I looked around and the first card I see..

Admitedly I liked Lawrie's energy and "fire" at first, but he needs to just slow down and take a breath sometimes. He often seems so amped up that he doesn't think before he acts. Gotta love his range at 3B though.
I prefer the type of energy guys like Kawasaki and (from what I hear) Reyes play with.

Good morning all. Proud daddy moment yesterday as my youngest played in his first organized baseball game. Well, organized is a bit loose of a term for t-ball, but still. Funny thing he told me - "Dad, when you open your pack of baseball cards now, maybe you'll find one of me in it!" He thinks because he plays ball now, he'll have a card. I'll have to make a custom and hide it in a pack, then open it in front of him.

Woke up in a Great Mood this morning. Yesterday I got in the Mail a "Holy Grail" Game Used Jays Item and to wake up and see it first thing was a treat.
Roy Halladay Game Used Glove.
Wish it was a Vernon Wells Glove since that is the Main Vocus of my Jays Game Used Collection , but a sure Hall of Famer cant be beat.
