The top three finalists at each position have been announced. Any thoughts or discussions? There seem to be a few questionable calls, even though these are just the finalists, not the winners yet. I would love to see Denard Span win a GG, but part of that might be my bias towards him

Miguel Cabrera on this list makes me laugh extremely hard. So does Beltre. If I'm not mistaken Beltre had a terrible fielding year, at least by his standards.

You're mistaken.
Beltre had the highest number of putouts in his career this season, had his highest range factor in six seasons, his 12 errors were the 4th lowest of his career and his .967 fielding percentage was the 4th best of his 17-year career.

I must be thinking of last season then. Makes sense cause I have tried hard to forget this one

To me, the shocker was Sandoval. Huh? Now I don't see the Gents much, but that one stuck out to me. He has no shot anyway with Arenado there.

The AL 3B should enjoy their having a chance now 'cuz Machado should be back to owning this Award next year...

Me neither.

If Astros (had to check again to make sure that's the correct team) fans don't yell "COOCH!" every time he records a K, they should be escorted from the ballpark.

The Astros would have an empty ballpark. I mean, they almost do, but apparently it's pronounced KYK-ill. So they might yell "****!" but maybe not.

Anyway, he seems to have had a very decent season in total obscurity in the 4th biggest city in the country.
