Well on long searched for item is crossed off the list, no it's onto the next one...

2001 Absolute Memorabilia Signing Bonus Baseballs where included one per a box of 2001 Absolute Memorabilia. Current and retired stars signed differing amounts of baseballs (Doerr supposedly signed 300).

Does anybody have their player(s) and a scan/photo if the ball?

Have had this item on the search list for a while and it can be tricky because the only identifying marks on the ball are that they are stamped on the side opposite the signature in gold w some info. My fear is that a lot of sellers don't know what they have and don't include a picture or that info in an auction. Anybody run into the same issue over the years?

Would love to hear memories of anybody who opened this product back in the day as well!

Thanks,
Jeff

I don't think I've ever seen a Doerr....
I pulled a Fergie Jenkins way back in the day. Kinda wish I never sold it just because it was my first auto'd ball.

I have never seen one either buddy! Which I just found strange considering there is suppose to be 300 of them...anybody know if a lot of this stuff didn't get busted back in the day?!

Thanks,
Jeff

It got opened heavily for Pujols rookie. Unopened is scarce. The Zimmer bonus ball shows up from time to time, not particularly tough. Not sure what the story is on the Doerr.

These balls were plentiful on eBay when the product was released but I rarely see a Dawson on eBay anymore even with 550 of them out there.

When you see the Zimmer listed is it identified correctly by the seller?

Thanks,
Jeff

Yes. I've seen four Zimmers listed in the last 15 months, and all were correctly listed as Absolute Signing Bonus baseballs. The stamping on them is pretty obvious. I think something must be up on the Doerr's if you've been looking for over a year and haven't seen one. Maybe he didn't sign. SCD lists him though at $25.00.

Wish I could find boxes of this product. Between the Signing Bonus baseballs and the Home Opener Souvenir and Ball Hoggs memorabilia cards, and Pujols and Ichiro rookies, this was a killer product.
