Gahhh. Don't know whether to be peeved or just giggle.
The truth is, there is very little overlap between sportsy cardsy people and artsy fartsy people.
Any educated graphic designer would sneer at 95% of modern cards. They're like a visual version of bad phone-call hold music.
At this point I just think of cards as their own "medium" that I judge by totally different standards and attributes than any other kind of design / art.
But examples like these 6th-grade level sketch cards calls attention to the larger issue at play.
