Sheffield had a strange line: 2.2 IN 6 H 5 R 5 ER 1 BB 6 K

How does someone with swing-and-miss stuff (3/4 outs by way of the K) also get roped for 6 H (5 singles, 1 double) and 5 ER and only 1 BB in 2.2 IN? Must not have been wild enough.

Big Big difference between control and command. Sure appears that he has control (ability to throw strikes), but very little command (actually hitting his spots). Any player in professional should have control, as most college pitchers do. But the guys with command are the ones that actually succeed.

Usually. Nolan Ryan might argue.
