Stumbled upon a interesting and unique item last night in my search for Doerr and was able to wrap up a deal with the seller this AM.
It's a signed RSVP letter/sheet that Doerr sent back to the Hall of Fame confirming that he would be attending the July 31, 1993 Baseball Hall of Fame Golf and Tennis Awards Dinner (an annual tradition in Cooperstown on Hall of Fame weekend).
As you can see he wrote that his wife would be in attendance with him and that he was late in getting it back because he was out of town. Reggie Jackson was the only inductee that year, and notice the letterhead logo with his name in it, along with the fact the dinner must of been sponsored by IBM and Chemical.
All in all , a very unique one of a kind non-card piece. Will always jump of pieces like this from Doerr, as it helps relate to the player and remember that even HOFers have to RSVP to things!

P.S. Seller has numerous other RSVPs from same year-not sure if he has any of the players that are loved here, but worthy to check out for players such as Yogi Berra, Duke Snider, Brooks Robinson, Enos Slaughter, Stan Musial, Jim Palmer, Tom Seaver and Whitey Ford, all at reasonable prices IMO.
