with a handful of days remaining in 2016 it's time to hope and dream about all the good stuff that going to happen for us in the coming year. I'll get it started.

I've learned in the 2 short years I've been a part of this thread. the more vague I am, the more successful I am ;)

1) keep plugging away at my PC and hopefully finish at least one years worth of signatures. 2016 saw HUGE strides in my collection.

2)get supplies and have everything mini snap tite, labeled and team bagged.

3)pick up 3-5 hof patches. not a serious PC but one I am working on slowly

4) personally, I really need to lose about 30-40 lbs. if I can do that I'll reward myself

I have three collections that I take "seriously" as serious as a hobby gets I suppose, and one that I half-heartedly indulge when I'm bored.

1-Tim Wakefield, there are only 50 or so non 1/1s I don't own. I'm aiming to add 6 cards to my total, feels low but I just don't see much come up I don't own.
2- Craig Biggio, reach 1500 different cards (add 300ish).
2b-Complete 1999 Topps Tek base and add 2 gold's
2c-Reach 70 of 90 1998 Topps Tek base patterns and add three diffractors.
3-Red Sox HOF, add herb pennock and IRA flagstead.
4-HOF Rookies-Add 5 to reach a total of 40.

Looking at my list I should be cutting down on spending...I doubt that happens so I might just surpass my goals quickly.

1.Work on down sizing everything, from house to cards. Hopefully only a year.
2.Get the farm sold to a family member(s) that want to have it.
3.Help my mother almost 77 diversify her holding (mainly property) needs to be sold or split up.....Her words not mine.
4.Finish up the rest of our 5 year plan on house (3 1/2 Years in) and would like to end it 2017 and just might too.
5.And upgrade 5 1/2 year plan( that's what's left) for retirement at least for me (almost 54 I'm out at 59 1/2) or full time anyway... the wife says she going to work until 67 she is nutty for sure.
6.Volunteer more to the people and places I do now.

Get rid of a lot of stuff I'm not PCing. Take pictures with my daughter and more minor league players and get 8x10s signed. Help other dads get their kids into the hobby by sending more cards. Non hobby, take Sundays off to have at least one family day

Collecting: Phil Bickford, Brandon Wood (still), Yankees and Rockies

Well i am already retired so i would like to hit the lottery. Then finish my Bernie collection.
Then have a sleep over with Rhonda Rousey, which would probably kill me.
The end.

I just stumbled upon my post in a 2016 Hobby Goals thread. Here is what I posted:

-----------------
When I first saw this post, I thought pshhhh ... there is no way I need to be setting any goals for my collection. It is fun and I'll go hard at it no matter what! But, I'm a sucker for goal setting, so here goes:

Land my white whales of Canseco:
1) 1988 Topps Cloth Canseco/McGwire
2) 1989 Donruss Blue Chips
3) 1989 Leaf Blue Chips
4) 1996 Select Certified Mirror Gold
5) 1997 Pinnacle Totally Certified Gold
6) 1998 Donruss Crusade Red
(there are others but this is good for now)

7) *MAYBE* Scan my collection and post online. That would be a good one!
------------------

I was able to pick off #'s 1, 3, 6 and 7 which I am incredibly pumped about for a year's worth of work! #'s 1 and 3 were given to me, while I picked up #6 from one of Canseco's close friends. I would have to say that #7 has got to be my most satisfying, though. While I'm very proud of my collection, it simply wouldn't shine as brightly with my site!

2016 was an absolutely huge, monster year for my collection. It was a massive turning point for me, especially for 1/1's. I don't know what the point is for me personally to list a number of cards as a "goal" to get, because if they show up w/out an irrational price, and I'm fortunate enough to be there to pull the trigger, then I'll do it. It would be different if the cards on my want list were readily available, but it is literally a matter of them actually making an appearance.

I guess you can say that after going MEGA hard on my collection for the past few years, I've equated creating a goal of acquiring cards like saying you have a goal to eat cheesecake. It isn't really a goal; it is just something you do because you love it. The big thing for me was the site, and that is done so I will just keep updating it as I go, and enjoy :)

One goal I may have though, is to have CustomCutsOnline.com EXPLODE. I'd love it to get huge, and for all kinds of people in the collecting community have them in their collections, and truly enjoy them.

Goals are nothing, without numbers, though. So here goes:

1,000 Custom Cuts sold by Dec. 31st, 2017!
