Thanks! I got them from an offline transaction. I've been actively searching for these for some time now. Unfortunately, the seller only had these three available. I'll keep hunting for more though Josh.

Awesome rainbow Josh! I still need the two yellows to complete mine.

I could use some help from anyone who may have 2004 Leaf Exhibits of Kirby Puckett and don't want, have doubles of or find at shows, etc. This set is driving me crazy and I would love to finish it. I'm missing 15 of the 88 cards in the set. Here's what I have and what I'm missing. Between Josh, myself and others we'd buy any of them that's found. Thank you!

Yesterday's mail day. Nothing exotic, but excited to cross off a bunch of Beckett checklisted cards I didn't have. Particularly the Upper Deck Predictor Exchange from Series II.

As I just noted in another thread...

I primarily collect Puckett only from 1983-1999.

I find that asking myself if an available card fits the following categories, helps me prioritize my spending.

1 - 1983-1999 issued cards (with emphasis for Beckett checklisted cards)
2 - Newer stuff that *really* catches my eye
3 - Weird stuff (uncut/proofs/items like that)
4 - Deals on newer cards that have too much value to pass up

Big drop off between 1 and then 2-4 for me, and if if doesn't fit in any of those categories, I probably need/want it a lot less than my first impulse.

So picking up 8 from category 1 is pretty solid for my collection.

Very nice pick ups Mathew. Are those series 2 predictor exchange cards still going for decent value? I remember seeing them sell for $60+ at one point.

Josh, I was trying to figure that very thing that out. I'm pretty sure I overpaid a little on a few of these cards, but I didn't really care because I was annoyed that I didn't have several of them.

The Predictor R55 on the other hand, I think I significantly underpaid for. If you remember seeing them for $60, that's probably about right. That's what I had in my head before seeing your post.

I think one Puckett R55 Exchange hit eBay in the last year or so, I think it was a BIN/BO listed at $75, and sold for $50-$60. I can't confirm that though.

In current eBay listings there aren't many Series II Exchange to be found. There's a Galarraga for $80, and a pair of Palmeiros for $17.

In completed listings a Canseco sold for $30, and a Juan Gonzalez sold for $45 (with the original card included as well).

Big thanks to Josh @jszczech for selling me these tough-to-find Puckett cards of which he had extras. Very excited to add these three Kirby's!

I know there are a lot of bigger and better Puckett collections out there than what I have, and I always appreciate the opportunity to learn from, and deal with those other Kirby collectors.

Matthew,

I listed the R55 for $75 bin, if memory serves I accepted $50 for it. Those have sold upwards of $150/$200 a time or two in the past. I doubt they'll get that high again, but they are tough finds for sure.

Nice recent pickups from Josh. Those checklists are tough finds too.

So I collect a lot of Puckett items besides just cards. One thing that I have always liked are cachets. I just picked up about 15 new ones but here are a couple of my favorites. These are hand painted and signed by the artist. Each one is numbered and comes with a COA.

Awesome Josh. I love cachets, FDC, etc. That's sweet you were able to land that many new ones. I've kicked myself a few times for missing out on some.

Yeah they don't show up as much as you would think. The ones I just came with a few production masters from the company too.

From another Puckett collector or a cachet guy?

2 different Puckett collectors. The one that had all the production masters is the guy I've been getting all my new promos from. I've posted them before but I might add them to this one too.

Got to love when another collector moves on. Doesn't happen often.

I was digging through my Puckett non-card items the other day and was reminded how much I like the McDonald's memorabilia from his promotional work with the company.

Here are three pieces, who else has Puckett McDonald's items? I'd love to see some more!
