Must be very fun to go through your mail each day! And thank you, the Armed Forces card is the first one in my collection that features Hank during his military career.

This project has been really fun, with so many great names showing up every day. I'm definitely doing way more buying than normal. It's been a long time (1998) since I focused on a decent-sized project like this. Eventually I'll reach that point where the desired cards are far and few between though... Until then, I'll keep going bananas!

1980 World Series worn materials - the first World Series I ever watched on TV. Brett and Schmidt were beasts.

This card gets me to 12 out of 15 for this set. They're tough to find, and last three will be a bear.

^^^Nice card, Brad! I LOVE that set....one of the funnest box breaks I've ever had with that stuff. I've actually never seen that subset before, really cool. I'll keep an eye out for the last few.

Nice cards guys, Especially the Molitor 5/10 and the 1980 Schmidt card. I got these 2 Jim Thome cards in today.

1995 Leaf #348 (4th one. Probably the coolest of all Leaf base cards)
2008 UD Masterpieces Brown #045 /100 ( not a big fan of UD but they did a nice job with this picture frame like card set)

Junk mail day brought three All-Time Greats and a groovy Sports Illustrated for Kids card with lots of pizazz!

I generally don't pick up lineup cards that are carbon copies, but this comes from Frank Robinson's "rookie" season as a manager in 1975. The significance here is that Frank was the first African American Manager in MLB.

Very cool. I was also planning to stay away from carbon copy lineup cards until I saw one I couldn't pass on due to the rarity.

You can't just say that and leave it hanging! What was it?
Haha, sorry for the suspense. It's a pair of line-up cards from Adam Dunn's 4th career game during his 2001 rookie season. The blue Reds card is a carbon copy signed by Bob Boone and given to Bobby Cox and the white Braves card is all live ink. Both cards have changes made by someone in the Braves dugout, possibly Bobby Cox.

My favorite player of all time and boyhood hero; a man who consistently was able to get the big hit and will always be a Hall of Famer to me...
