I got an email from Topps showing they were selling Jeter autographs. I wanted to see if my $1,000 price tag guess was right.

Then I saw tons of "out of stock" messages.

This prompted me to count up the quantity - is this right? It looks like they just sold over $60,000 worth of these cards ... inside of 30 minutes!

Absolutely

And if they would have made more, they would have sold more.

This is insanity to me. I truly do wonder how much any of these would go for if they were pack pulled. I'm not putting down anyone at all with my jaw being dropped to the floor; I am truly amazed and amused!

All the autographs and game used were sold out within the hour. Crazy! Some of the items have already been listed on Ebay for 2X-3X the original price.

$1,000 for jeter autos? really? seems low unless these jeters were numbered 100 or more.

I seem to recall Judge autos were going for $3K on topps now (well, auto since it was a "1/1") and thought that was crazy.

Tanner when are you going to do the topps later parody

Could forecast the breakage of records.

like a 2561 Card of Yomani "Thunder Legs" Blazovich breaking the Rickey Henderson Stolen base record because he has a cybernetic implant?

or a 2300 card of Carl "The Can" Cogswell for breaking the cyborg barrier as the first robot in the majors?
