What spices do you put on your pizza?

I load it up with cheese oregano salt and especially garlic. Sometimes hot pepper.

How about you and does anyone have any "weird" things like ketchup, mustard etc?

My favorite place makes it so good you don't need anything. Plus the fact that South Jersey and Philly are the Mecca for the best pizza in the U.S.!!!!

Well, that's something I've never heard before.

I've heard of New York pizza, Chicago pizza, and even St. Louis pizza.

But I've never heard of highly regarded Jersey or Philly pizza.

    Please, provide some examples.

Philly is known for it's hard water which makes a beautiful crust. South Philly is historically Italian and have the best cheeses and many places cook in a brick oven that is 700 degrees or more. Jersey is known for growing tomatoes and fresh herbs. Many have migrated from Philly and brought their talent mixed with fresh herbs and cheeses. Let's get some Philly and jersey members to comment with their thoughts!

Born in the Chicago area and raised on Chicago style but cannot say it's my favorite. I love me a thin crust pizza that you cannot fold like a New York style. As for seasoning, whatever the pizza place puts on it is fine but that seasoning mix Papa Johns has as an extra you can buy is awesome!!

I don't have a favorite style of pizza, but I do enjoy a crispy thin crust. One that's so crispy it can't be folded.

Flimsy hand tossed it probably my least favorite. Deep dish is great.

In my area we have a local place that has a 'stuffed' pizza that has an extra crust on top of it, and then it's smothered in pizza sauce. It's basically fancy deep dish, but isn't so good. That place has deep dish too, but the Stuffed it better.

    Here's that place.
