You've all participated or seen something similar on Facebook. I thought it would be a fun thread for everyone to post their roster for their favorite team made up of players you've actually seen play. Feel free to do your own MLB roster if you'd rather do that than a specific team. My favorite team is the Cincinnati Reds, so here's my all-time favorites that I have actually seen play for the Reds.

I'm just doing a starting 9 with one relief pitcher.

C. Yadier Molina
1B. Mark McGwire
2B. Fernando Vina
SS. Ozzie Smith
3B. Scott Rolen
LF. Albert Pujols
CF. Rick Ankiel
RF. Lance Berkman
SP. Danny Haren
RP. Steve Kline

RF was the toughest position to choose, it was between Larry Walker and Berkman for me. I know they're mostly associated with other clubs, but what this two did for the Cardinals while in St. Louis was immeasurable. There aren't really any great options for 2B either. I took the liberty of placing Pujols in LF on my list because he played there for several seasons before transitioning to 1B full time, and that allowed me to include McGwire. The title of the thread is 'favorite' so that's what I'm doing, I'm not choosing the 'best' at each position. If I did that, Jim Edmonds would be in place of Ankiel, and *gulp* Isringhausen would probably replace Kline, and Haren would probably be replaced by Chris Carpenter.

I'll post my favorite Giants(pre DBax existence) / DBax teams later. But man Kevin, in 1998 I would have felt I knew most rosters on teams, but there are like 8 Yankees on that team I have never heard of.

They had a deep bench and a lot of role players, to give the big boys some rest. They were tuff to beat.
