If he was called up at the same age of Trout or Harper then I'd believe that there may still be room for improvement within the next few years simply because there would be that possibility that he could finish his career as one of the all-time greats in history. It becomes much tougher to accumulate as many counting stats when a player has an age 25 rookie season. Sure, it's still possible for him to have a HOF career but not at the same level as what Trout could potentially put together and he's the only player to exceed and maintain a base auto value above $1k.
I could still be wrong. Like you said, there is the Yankees hype factor which is completely unpredictable. I remember thinking the same thing when his base auto was selling for roughly $600.
Look, I'm gonna be honest with you. I really need a job. And I will take any position, as long as it doesn't involve having sex with old ladies for money or bear traps. Those are my two bugaboos. While mulling over my resume feel free to check out my baseball card collection, it's small and simple, kinda like me - >>>>> http://s822.photobucket.com/user/JDf...ds%20n%20stuff

Forbes article said he was one of the biggest position players in MLB history, I have to think over time injuries will develop as that may not be good for the joints/ligaments to be 6-7 carrying almost three spins of mass. Might have to move him to 1B or DH at some point so it's less stress on the body.
I collect Ken Griffey Jr, Ryan Howard, Steve Carlton and the rest of the Phillies.

I'm really torn. I was down on him in the off-season, as most people were, as he had shown in his brief MLB time all the power, none of the eye. I sold the few Judges I had back in April in the initial surge. Now I'd love to have some of his cards but the prices are ridiculous and I just have to wait (maybe a decade or two). Maybe just a Heritage auto. Oh wait, that's like a grand. Sheesh.
Looking for 2011 Topps Marquee Museum autographs, rare Frank Thomases and Grady Sizemores I don't have
Please note: Card collecting is my hobby, not my life. I don't take it that serious and like to keep it fun.
