I had so much fun putting together my baseball auto collection. Figuring out how to display them was awesome too.
If you insist on getting them in person, I would start with Rod Carew. I've seen him in person a few times this past year, and he hasn't looked particularly strong. Not so sound morbid, but yeah, I'd try to meet him as soon as possible. Ozzie Smith has a super fun personality, and is just a kick to have a conversation with. Brooks Robinson is a super nice guy, and seems genuinely appreciative that people want his autograph.
Of those you listed, here would be the 10 I would want to get.

Al Kaline
Mike Piazza
Orlando Cepeda
Brooks Robinson
Ozzie Smith
Frank Thomas
Johnny Bench
Rickey Henderson
Joe Morgan
