    Cool Adrian Beltre Hits #3000

    Yo, Adrian. He did it.

Sure wish I'd held onto my '97 BC stash of him, way back when.

Good for him, his best move was the on deck circle, though.

Can no longer debate whether he makes it to the HOF now. The only question now is how long it will take to get in.

There are no (eligible) clean players with 3k hits who aren't in there.

Hats off to him! He's a player I wish the Sox would have paid to keep, well rounded and hard nosed, really happy for him.

Congrats to Beltre for his 3,000 hit.......isn't he one of two players (Brady Anderson) who suddenly hit 50 plus home runs??? Best regards, David

Quite a feat considering I never thought of Beltre as a hits machine. I guess that happens if you don't have him on your fantasy teams. All of a sudden he gets publicity about nearing 3000 hits and it changes what I thought I knew about him.

BTW, the talked about on-deck circle incident:

He has been consistent for many years, and imo was not a user.

He has been fun to watch in Arlington. I was hoping he'd get to 500 HR this year but not to be. Hopefully he gets there, but with missed time and, despite improved SLG, his homers are more doubles this year so it might take til 2019. And if he plays 2 more years, he could end up top ten all-time in hits, which is pretty incredible.
Looking for 2011 Topps Marquee Museum autographs, rare Frank Thomases and Grady Sizemores I don't have

Nope. You may be thinking of Luis Gonzalez who hit 57 in 2001.

Adrian has never hit 50 home runs.

I didn't think he had it in him until late last year. Good on him and congrats on joining the 3,000 hit club.
