If going by ERA, WHIP or FIP Chris Sale has still been the 3rd best starter this postseason...

Justin Verlander - 6 IP, 2 ER, 6 H, 2 BB, 3 K (3.00 ERA, 3.16 FIP, 1.33 WHIP)
Zack Greinke - 3.2 IP, 4 ER, 6 H, 1 BB, 1 K (9.82 ERA, 3.43 FIP, 1.91 WHIP)
Chris Sale - 5 IP, 7 ER, 9 H, 1 BB, 6 K (12.60 ERA, 9.16 FIP, 2.00 WHIP)
Ervin Santana - 2 IP, 4 ER, 3 H, 2 BB, 0 K (18.00 ERA, 19.16 FIP, 2.50 WHIP)
Jonathan Gray - 1.1 IP, 4 ER, 7 H, 0 BB, 2 K (27.00 ERA, 9.91 FIP, 5.25 WHIP)
Luis Severino - 0.2 IP, 3 ER, 4 H, 1 BB, 0 K (81.00 ERA, 90.17 FIP, 15.00 WHIP)

Looks like Altuve is trying to prove he's real MVP. Or can Judge do him one better??? Doubtful...but...he's on fire. And yes, I know voting is over.

Trevor Bauer's curveball made Judge look like a statue. Grats to Bauer on his masterpiece of a game.

Sox can win if Pomeranz is on, but if he's off....look out.

I've had Pomeranz on my fantasy team this season & one of his biggest issues is pitch efficiency. His pitch count mounts early because it takes him so many darn pitches to get hitters out and in turn he rarely goes deeper than six innings. Looking at his game log it appears the deepest he's gone is 7 IP and that happened once, back in May. Being that it's the postseason, this isn't as much of an issue, as the bullpen is deeper with starters in relief. Pomeranz has had surprisingly good strikeout numbers, over 1 per inning, but he can run into command issues too, averaging roughly 4 walks per 9 in the 2nd half.
But as you said, when he's on he's got good stuff, as he's issued less than 2 runs in almost 70% of his games this season. He doesn't have too many implosions either. He's only issued 5+ runs in a game a few times.

As a starter in the postseason Dallas Keuchel has been balls out insanely good in his limited experience. He's 2-0 with an 0.69 ERA & 14 k in 13 IP.

He was used in relief just a couple games after his previous start and gave up 3 runs in 1 IP. The Astros were already losing when they brought him in.
