This McGraw 1 of 1 was just pulled at my local card shop. But it looks nothing like his auto, I have meet him a few times before and got 2 autos then So I know the autos I have are authentic but look at the difference!

The auto looks off- could just be a sloppy auto. It sorta looks like the SP Legendary cuts auto on Ebay. His other autos look pretty consistent across brands and IP's.

Since it is a cut, could be som thing early. I doubt he used the smiley face with the flair in the signature right off the bat. A log of signatures get either sloppier or more distinct after time.

Yep, he added the Smiley guy post-career when he did local news broadcasting...

It's just a vintage cut signature. Lots of players change up their signature after they retire.

Look at the early and later signatures of playersMickey Mantle and Pete Rose. They resemble nothing alike, and look like they were signed by different people.

For example, look at this early Tug McGraw autograph. The "Tug" looks nothing like his more common signature:

My gut says it's good. The flourishes on the T, Gs and W aren't there, I imagine its the quick sig of someone interrupted at dinner instead of fully-formed ones by a guy who was excited to answer his fan mail. But the way the M, G, and A are formed seem specific to that same guy.
