My 1958 Topps set.
It was my Dad's favorite as a kid, so I decided to build it about 11 years ago. He loves looking through the binder and telling me about the cards and players.

My birth year set, 1951 Bowman. There are a number of expensive cards in there and it has Mantle's true rookie card in it.

I do truly enjoy my 1998 Leaf Fractal Materials Die-Cut set (only 50 total sets possible). Getting that Nomo Z-Axis finally was nice.

I like my 1994 UD Holoview Red set as well.

Not sure if I'm exactly proud of it, but I put together an entire set of 2004 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Turn of the Century /250. Got a bunch of these in a few lots I bought back in the day so I pieced the entire set together. Was challenging finding the last few cards I needed.

other than topps total sets (for both size and very complete selection of players), my favorite set is 2000 Topps HD. I love that super clear looking photography on the cards.

I cant remember the name of the set but upper deck did a set with like 1,200 cards in it. I got up to around 1000 and gave up. lol

It appears to be UD 40 Man. 1182 cards on a checklist I just looked at. I don't know why I didn't start or build that one at the time it was released and I haven't found reasonable priced or quantity of boxes to do it now.

I've got 2 favorites.

First is my 2005 Absolute Memorabilia GU/Auto set. Great design and range of players.

Second is my 2007 Sweet Spot Classic GU set. I am almost done, just need the Ruth and Mathewson. Have seen them a few times, but they always get out of my price range.

Thanks

I to this day have never been to a real show. I've had a few area LCS depending on where I lived. if love to hit up shows just to see.

back in the day I would go to my local mall and there would be tables from one end to the other. At least 40 to 50 tables of dealers. I went to the same mall last week. There was 3 tables....
