Does this news FINALLY flush out his 2006 Bowman Draft Super Auto?

Man, I hope so. We know Wossamottau would be a buyer, being from San Fran.

Shrewd move by TB.

John Shea‏ @JohnSheaHey
Rays had a deadline. In early April, Longoria would have gained no-trade power with 10 years in bigs (and at least 5 with one team), and it would have been another Stanton situation. He would have been able to veto a deal to San Francisco. Now he can't.

They cry they don't draw fans, Wait till next year. And they are crying for a new stadium. That will not happen. I know Rays trade all the starters and bring up all the a aa and triple a players. then you can have a payroll at under $20,000,000. And draw about 1000 fans a game then MOVE.

It's always sad when a team is basically forced to trade their best player away, especially when he's been there his entire career and is the best player in the team's history.

Hard to say they were forced to do it when they can basically pay about half of their payroll out of their revenue sharing check.

So they moved a big contract, curious to see what they do with this payroll flexibility now. I predict they...do nothing and hope the young kids put a product on the field a marginal amount of people want to go see. Florida is really going out of it's way to be the worst state in baseball.
