And JD Martinez.

I’m really proud of the teams for not giving in.

It's all collusion, that the owners aren't being morons with their money!! Collusion I say! They are mandated to spend a ridiculous amount of money just because someone is "the best" player in a meh to weak free agency class.
I don't think I've ever taken the owners side before but they are definitely in the right here. The union is just being reactionary and they have no real ground to stand on. Take the best deal on the table and move on.

I feel the same way, I am not a guy who ever complains about money in sports, but this free agency class is just asking for way more than they’re worth, and I’m happy teams aren’t giving in. Boston’s offer of what, 100 million to Martinez is about right. If he doesn’t want to sign anywhere because he’s holding out for 100 million more, then piss on him. He isn’t worth it.

This is the first time I've ever been on management's side in a dispute like this. For years players have been paid on past performance, teams are now trying to predict future numbers and aren't handing out tons of cash. Makes sense to me, I dont need Clark whining about Martinez only getting 100 million

I’m not in favor of an absolute salary cap in baseball, but I could understand certain things being put in place. A max contract limit (say 300 million), a set minimum salary (say 500K) and a set minimum total payroll every single team has to reach each season.

Teams like Houston and Chicago shouldn’t be rewarded for tanking.

Still waiting on Trump to take the blame for the stock market.

Can’t take all the credit when it’s up if you’re not willing to take the blame when it’s down.

Yep, very true... not going to happen though.

What would be extra hilarious is if he brags about gold going up (when that happens) since it usually only goes up with a weakened dollar/political distrust.

and then he does something like this on live TV :24
