That'll be it for him. I'll take it. One bad inning, 5 great ones.

Bowman is less than a month away.

@JeffPassan Shohei Ohtani threw 39 fastballs today. The average velocity: 97.8 mph. Hit 100 three times and 99 nine more. In all, he generated 18 swings and misses. Raw stuff is devastating. Particularly the splitter, which he threw 11 times in the final two IP, with five swings and misses.

Not bad at all. Commanded his pitches very well while demonstrating above average/plus control. Excellent velocity on his fastball with a very lively splitter. That HR in the 2nd inning was his only mistake. Quality start with a great strikeout to walk ratio.

Begins the season with a 3.73 FIP/3.17 xFIP

Very awesome, as bad as his spring looked, his start was awesome and now a 3 run shot. Could be great for the Angels and baseball

I think it's time I state the obvious. Ohtani is better than Babe Ruth. The comparison was insulting..... to Shohei
