Any of you guys good with photo editor/photo shop

I am in the middle of building a frame for my Mike Tyson belt, and I
thought it'd be cool if the background had black&white photos of Tyson.

The only problem is, they are too dark. Whenever I lighten them, they lose quality.

When I print them in "Draft" quality, they come out in the perfect
shade (photo attached), but the quality of the photos is crap.

Does anyone know how to lighten pictures without losing quality?

Would anyone be willing to do it for me if I sent you some photo collages? ...and some paypal?

(Sorry for the non-baseball post, but this is where all my friends are)

LOL - this is soooo beneath @mouschi 's pay grade. I'm sure there's an easy way,
but I'm a hard sneeze away from being considered legally handicapped in the tech field.

    all I know is MSPaint

It is hard to say without seeing, but generally speaking, if you are darkening/lightening, that is what you will get unfortunately. You *might* want to try to blur it a bit ... that might be a cool little effect so that way it is just a background instead of a focal point.

    Print them as a duotone.

Simply pick a color other than black, even a lighter gray would work. A nice sepia tone could work really well too, and still allow the belt and name to pop.
