Ronald Acuna - .273 avg 14 HR 32 RBI .848 OPS 7 SB

At the moment he's hit 31 extra base hits (XBH) in just 245 at-bats (63 games). At that pace in a 162 game season he'd have 78 XBH, including 35 home runs.

He's currently hitting a home run every 17 at-bats

Better than the guy pitching in the 8TH. He made an error at first then gave up 3 straight hits!! Braves are now down 3-2. inning still going. This SUCKS

What an insane marathon of a game!!! Braves get the win behind Minter's save.

And guess who hit another home run??? You guessed it...Acuna got his 15th HR of the season and now has 4 in his last 5 games. He's been a power house for us, now sporting a .522 slg% & insane .251 ISO as an 20 year old! If only Juan Soto wasn't called up until 2019 because he's the clear front runner for ROY as of right now. He's gonna need a real cold spell during the final six weeks of a season for Acuna to have a shot...but right now he's the runner-up in my mind.

.271 avg 15 HR 34 RBI .850 OPS 7 SB (32 XBH, 42 Runs)

At his current pace thru 64 games, he'd have 38 HR, 18 SB & 105 runs scored in a 162 game season. And he's still just 20 yrs old....

Great win today, that was an exciting game. Glad Dansby finally did something.

Hopefully Touki looks better than Allard!

Toussaint has always had tremendous pure stuff with a couple plus to plus-plus pitches, something Allard severely lacks. For a couple seasons his curveball was ranked as the best in minor leagues and it has always been the best in the Braves system since he's been a part of it. That pitch has missed a whole lotta bats. His fastball is nearly as good of a pitch too. It consistently sits in the mid to upper 90's range. His changeup has improved drastically...it was once a below average pitch but is now at least a major league average pitch. All of Kolby's pitches are ranked as average or slightly above average, no plus pitches.

However, that's not to say that he doesn't have his issues. In his early years his control/command was absolute $hit. As he's moved up the ladder into the upper levels it has certainly improved as his walk rate has dropped but he still averages 4 walks per 9 innings and that could go up at the major league level. If he's going to run into trouble tomorrow it will certainly have something to do with wild pitches and too many walks.

But overall, his ceiling has become much higher than Allard's. Most scouts agree that his ceiling is as a #2 starter with the floor of a #3-#4 type. I doubt Allard remains as a starter and will probably follow the same route as Matt Wisler, unfortunately. His only saving grace is that he's still really young and *if* he can recapture the velocity and movement he once had with his fastball/curveball he would certainly follow a different path and find success.

It's great to have so many young pitchers to work with. We have seen so many make their debuts this year and we still have Kyle Wright who should eventually be up.
