WELL THIS IS THE FINAL REPORT ON MY GRIFFEY AUTO RC /100 FROM BECKETT. I really thought I had a chance at a 9 overall because it was a "raw" grade and I spoke with the grader who said he would make every effort to give it a 9. But I'll have to settle for an 8.5 total with the only 9, being given to "corners". The auto was already a 10.
Pop report, there are now 2 cards 8.5 and even a new 9.0.
NO 9.5'S OR 10'S. All the rest of the cards in pop grading were below 8 down to 5.
It was weird because I got an email from Beckett before they sent it out saying the Griffey Signature did not match any in their data base. To me, the signature is identical to the cards Magic Papa has posted, so I referred them to the forum thread. After they came here and looked awhile they didn't have any other questions, guess they were convinced.
I know we aren't into grading and this is the first Griffey card I've ever had graded and encased, but considering it was already "Raw Graded" and sealed by Beckett, and that the other 8.5 card just sold on ebay for $1,800, I felt obligated to complete the process. I don't plan on selling it but it can't hurt in the future should I change my mind.
Anyway thought I'd share the news on BGS and my RC /100 auto card.

now on the Sweet spot front..
Seeing alot more of the Sweet Spot auto's that are numbered to /230..
Came across this one numbered to /243.

That was my thinking.. there is one with leather that is numbered to /25 up right now as well..
Looks like they had some old auto's they needed to use..
