I'm starting to change my collecting focus and have been buying vintage team issue and postcards plus other cool vintage HOF stuff if I see it.

Here are a few of my recent pickups:

Team issue sets and other oddballs offer a nice way to pick up some great early items. A lot are odd sized and that may hurt their valuation to the masses, but helps those really wanting the items.

I focus on Dodgers mostly and love that stuff.

Hey there.....

I know you are collecting these stamps but wasnt sure if you want them in the "unstuck" form or not. If you want this it is yours! Just let me know.

Thanks

Andrew

Bet there's a Cubs fan who would love that Banks!

I have wanted to get into collecting this stuff for a while but always held back for whatever reason. A couple of months ago I started researching old Red Sox team issues and became hooked. One of the best parts is searching for them. A lot of sellers don't know how to list them so there are some great deals to be had if you spend enough time looking.

Another part of the excitement of it for me is how good team issues and postcards look in albums. I had gotten to a point with my collection where I only looked at the pictures online which felt like I was missing out. So about a year or so ago I started to sell off a lot of stuff and moved what I could from toploaders to albums. I still have a lot of stuff in boxes (my Jim Rice collection) and the PSA/DNA stuff I have been buying but I get so much more satisfaction pulling an album out and looking through the pages.

Not a card, but one of the last Don Zimmer items I was searching for. These were sold at the LA Memorial Coliseum the year the Dodgers moved to California in 1958. They played in the Coliseum 4 years while Dodger Stadium was being built in Chavez Ravine.

Got this from a box of Hit Parade. The look on my face when I opened my box... too bad I didn't film it. LOL

Last month I had pulled this from the same product.

So you can say I've had a nice couple of months concerning vintage. LOL
