Card looks perfect in the picture. But... if you hold it at just the right angle there is a surface crease.

Bought the nicest 1960 Venezuelan Topps Don Zimmer card I've ever seen. Think this could grade 5 or better? Best PSA population report is a 4. I don't grade, so am not very good at judging. Maybe more of a 3-4? I don't even have it in hand yet to judge surface vs. the poor cardstock used for Venezuelan cards.

wow that's insane man! I don't think I've seen very many of those Venezuelan's in that good of shape before, for obvious reasons!

Thanks,
Jeff

So here's my latest Doerr pickup...

1939 Playball Sample

These were used by salesman back in the day the same way they are today-bringing them into general stores to try to convince the owners to stock the upcoming Playball cards in 1938/1939.

These are rare-this is only the second or third Doerr I have seen, and the first PSA one I have ever seen. According to PSA's website, this copy is one of only two ever graded and the other one did grade higher but condition with these are horrible (the ungraded one I own is horrifically Off-Center)

While 1941 Playball is far and away my favorite set, these 1939 Playball Samples are up there for their uniqueness.

Thanks,
Jeff

Based purely on corner wear, I'd say a 3 with a shot at 3.5/4. That bottom left on reverse is why I'd say a 3.

Amazing Play Ball Sample! These are so difficult to find well-centered, and with a bold red stamp on the back. Mine is really poorly centered but the stamp is clear as day. Usually one or the other but yours looks really great!
