Me too. I loved the 1994 glossy one with gold foil from Donruss as well. A great photo.

That's what I was going to say. I always loved the original and when I saw the reprint... I loved it! I used to hope a '84 Recollection Collection Auto would show up on ebay, but I don't think they made one.


That same exact thing happened to me with the 1985 Topps Traded...



I always loved that card, probably mostly because of the card stock. When I was a kid I managed to pick up a total of 0 Tiffany cards, in fact I even somehow avoided learning of their existance. When I got back into cards I was so happy to get a gold version, and a refractor... a retrofractor. Looks like an awesome set to put together, now that I'm checking it out.




If I lived near you Larry, I'd come over for the alcohol and straight jacket party. It sure would be fun digging through all those dupes...

I saw this in another thread....





How does your 81 OPC look? Mine is ragged and so off center it's almost miscut. After looking at some PSA OPC (MC)'s, I'd say mine is definitely miscut.

As you all know, I'm not a fan of graded cards, but that 1981 OPC is oretty sweet! I've never seen one of those in a condition even close to being a 10, and can definitely see that selling for a premium. Those cards were always off center, and as Ryan mentioned, usually pretty ragged.

I just checked out mine, and it is probably 90/10 off center (right) but in good condition.

where did you get it from? I had a nightmare of a time with SCdebate on Ebay. Was supposed to get it from him, it got "lost". Then he found "another" one, and that one got "lost" too. Then he busted my balls about getting a refund, had to go through Paypal

That's who I bought it from!! I picked it up via BIN/BO a week or so ago. Now I feel bad! I wonder why he didn't send you the card, maybe I was just lucky?? I'm glad you at least got your money back.

He was such a jerk to me over it, and I tried being decent on 2 occasions after he "shipped" it. He blamed me for stealing the card, which how funny, he sold it after I somehow stole it?

I think Brad should tell the whole story... or as much as he can fit... into a negative feedback for the seller. :twisted:

I emailed him about it, and he still says that I stole it. This guy must be eating paint chips. I asked him "Do you think I would go through all this for a card I presently own?" "Would I trouble myself on 2 occasions, only to have to go through a Paypal dispute over a card I still don't have?"

So if anyone comes across another one of these(I promise to not steal it, lol) I still need it!

I went to this crappy little shop here in the Springs once, it was about 2003 or so. Shortly after I started getting back into collecting, but far enough into the low # phase that I knew that a card #/50 shouldn't sell for more than $5. At this crappy little shop they had some real gems of Rickey, and I lol'd because they wanted $20 each. Stuff like this:

2001 Donruss Elite Status 21 #/24 (I think they may have even wanted a whopping $30)
1999 E-X Century Essential Credentials Future 83 #/38

I can't remember the other one, some other card similar to the one in the auction. There were these three sweet cards, and I thought "phhh, if I'm gonna blow $80, it's not gonna be on 3 crappy cards." Thus the ::facepalm::

So, I've been thinking of selling off a chunk or two of my collection. I think one of the best parts of my collection is the 2005 Absolute, so I thought I'd show it off. This might not be 100% accurate, I might have sold some of these dupes off and not updated my list. I'm a stoner like that, what can I say? I live in the high altitude of Colorado. It's not my fault. :mrgreen:

I wouldn't get rid of the jersey # cards, but I left them in there for showoff effect...
