The 1993 Topps Cecil Fielder hit eBay today and has been added to the checklist on my blog. That makes the 38th confirmed card in the 1993 set.

Tracked down the 1964 Rose still no clue how it was distributed since it's unnumbered thinking it was a proof or pulled

In 1998 they did some Limited Platinum Edition sets where they printed entire runs of Topps cards. McGwire for example had a set of 15 produced spanning from his rookie season through 1998. I don't know who else they did this for so you should check that out.

I never saw this topic, but I have the 1998 Platinum set still in the box it came in. I don't remember what I paid for it exactly, but for some reason remember I had a nuclear snipe on it and someone else made me pay dearly for it. I'll see if I can dig it out and get some photos up.

Edit: Added photos. This set came in a solid black plastic box that was polished, with a foam insert with 15 cutouts. The backs are all #'d 41/198. I'm not sure if this was a McGwire only set.

The promo set in this photo is the one that I own.

and....in case this helps anyone, here's a Danbury Mint promo page (for porcelain cards, shows Griffey, Thomas, Bonds, etc.) (no date on it, but Piazza's 1993 is the latest shown so I've always assumed this is from 1994)

did he have a Henderson?

No. But if I see one, I'll snag it for ya. I always put the apb out on these oddballs. Some of these flea market guys would be blown away by just how valuable some of this oddball stuff they have stashed away is worth. I think with all the over production in the late 80's through the early to mid 90's, some of these people forgot that there are actually valuable cards still out there. Most are just too lazy to dig for them.

I added another 11 cards to the checklist today, thanks to another eBay seller that turned up. Aside from Albert Belle, the rest were more commons. That makes 52 of 825 accounted for.

I don't have a scan of the backs of these handy, but here is what I have:

a 1990 Topps Trade rookie of Mr. Fryman (1000)

1993 topps (out of 1000)

and the magnet

I have a couple of the other rookie reprints as well - I think one is of Eckersley. Can't recall the other 2 at the moment.

Greg

FYI, the 1993 Topps Larkin/Fryman All Star card is on eBay right now.

I've been looking for more information on these! I have 5 1993 Topps Wes Chamberlains, 3 in boxes and 2 in packages, numbered 529, 535, 536, 280 and 286 respectively. I also have the 1993 Topps magnet (not numbered), and the 1993 Topps mug (not numbered). Do the 1991, 1992, 1994 and 1995 items of his exist? I'd pay dearly! Thanks for your help.ImageUploadedByFreedom Card Board1361491721.591964.jpg

Looking for Wes Chamberlain rare cards, variations, game used items, etc.

For Wes Chamberlain, I do not think any more porcelain cards exist. Aside from 1993, when they supposedly did the whole base set in porcelain, all the other years were just major stars or high profile rookies. Thanks for posting the photos, I'm always excited to see more of these . Where did you find yours?

I believe I got the mug at Macy's in 1993, the cards and magnet I found on ebay over the years. Is it safe to say there is a plate of Chamberlain from 1993? That might be enough to make a grown man cry.

Here is a version of Will Clark I have, not sure if others exist. I think its pretty neat and probably fairly rare..
1986 RC version, came in hard wood box, inside is green felt. "Golden Signature Series" The autograph part is signed in 24kt Gold. This also is a PROOF version. Attached to the inside of the box is a COA that is signed (Not reprints) from G. Roof (President of R&N, and A. Lash (A Notary) and has an embossed seal on it. It is dated 4-10-1990 , and shows his commission ends 12-30-1990. Backside numbering is done in 24kt gold also AP/10,000 . If anyone has others or has any info I'd be interested in more info. Also if anyone has other versions/magnets etc of Clark lmk. Thanks
Ryan
