I am eager for the day someone finds the forgotten storage unit owned by the company and 10,000 of these flood the market. I haven't added a new card to the 1993 checklist in almost a year.

So a seller on eBay listed a whole set of R&N China/Topps Porcelain cards today that are listed as /1,000, and all have "S20" on them.

Is anyone familiar with these? Seller believes they are 1995 due to Hideo Nomo's inclusion on a 1995 Topps card. Seems to make sense to me. I guess this is yet another variation of all of these.

I'm just curious what the set was called and I haven't found any answers online.

Really, only three places where I've been able to find examples. The Nomo that COMC had suggests there were 250 sets of these, but who knows?

Matthew , not sure set name or how it was released. I do have the Clark S20 though. Maybe it refers to 20 cards in the release?

I'm still not sure why I like these porcelain cards so much, but I picked up a variation for a few bucks recently.

These three photos show noticeable differences in the "Sports Nostalgia" run (new addition on the right), which COMC lists as 1990-1992. There is at least one more variation that I do not have, it includes a 1992 copyright on the back.

It's been 5 years since I found a 1993 Grace card, but it arrived shattered due to poor packaging.

But found another this week. Hoping it arrives in one piece. I asked seller about shipping methods before buying this time!

It's been slow for me on the Puckett front so far in 2019, but I added a third "Sports Nostalgia" R&N China porcelain card. Not particularly rare, but one I'd had on my list...

I really hope this thread is still being viewed at times. Today I picked up this set of R&N Future Hall of Famers Rookie Card reprints on porcelain. I've read through this post and am learning bits and pieces. I haven't seen a lot of the S20 ***/1000 sets. This is a full set numbered 152/1000. I've attached photos of the set, one of the cards, COA, and the letter that came with it. From what I've read, it sounds like this may be the 1995 set. Can anyone tell me for sure what I have? Thanks!

Thank you! I haven't been able to find a complete set like this, so I don't think I'll be busting the set apart, but if I decide to, you've got it.

Thanks for posting the whole set and what was included, that's fun to see. I have the Puckett S20 from that set that is 3/1,000.

Here's some discussion from a couple of years ago in this thread on S20...

I'm still looking for Puckett variations of these, forgot to bid on this one last month (argh!). If anybody knows what set/year that is from, I'd be curious to know as I haven't figured that out yet.

so hard to find accurate information! I'm looking at different 1991 through 1996 editions on ebay and seeing different info for each set. I don't think the sellers know exactly what they have either.

Check out that checklist, especially how they are aligned on the page. At one time, most of us would have though the list was pretty solid to be 100% true (Future Hall of Famers. The Left half of the list was 100% true. The right side fell apart at the seams, with only Maddux & Puckett being in the HOF at this moment. A couple others may join them someday from the right side, but so many that just didn't have the gusto to get in.

I just realized there's only 20 names on that checklist and I have 40 cards. That list says series 1. I wonder if I have series 1 and 2 in the box.

I don't know that there ever was a Series 2, at least by that name. The Hamilton Collection was the seller of these and the mixed and match cards into several different sets. I know they did a 12 card Tomorrow's Hall of Famers set which included the Griffey, Bonds Traded, and a couple others I see pictured. I'm not sure where the other 8 cards would have come from though.

I have never seen nor heard of a Bagwell at all. Kinda odd too because the channels I usually go through...you'd think I would have seen one by now. I do however own one of the Ryan's I believe.

I have a Jeff Bagwell in my set numbered 152/1000. Through everything I've read here, I believe it to be the 1995 set.

Those are all of the cards. Here's a few other items I have from R&N China:

90r_nchinaporcelainplate.jpg

1992 R&N China ceramic mug (Rookie Ball shows 1980 rookie) (hand numbered #1266) (company also called Sports Nostalgia)

1992 R&N China ceramic stein (Rookie Ball shows 1980 rookie) (hand numbered #6711) (company also called Sports Nostalgia)

1993 R&N China ceramic stein (shows 1993 Topps card) (hand numbered #2501/5000)
93rnchinastein5000.jpg

and....in case this helps anyone, here's a Danbury Mint promo page (for porcelain cards, shows Griffey, Thomas, Bonds, etc.) (no date on it, but Piazza's 1993 is the latest shown so I've always assumed this is from 1994)
94danburymintpromopage.jpg

I have a set that I believe to be the 1995 set. It's 152/1000 and has "S20" next to the set number.
